🌀 Michelin Crossclimate 2 Tires Review
1976 posts · Joined 2022. #51 · Oct 19, 2022. I just got a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2 installed on my Bolt EUV yesterday. It's quieter, better handling and cornering, better in the rain, more complaint over bumps but terrible economy. I went from 3.2 miles/kWh to 2.7 miles/kWh traveling the same exact road at the same speed.
CrossClimate 2 is a Michelin all-season grand touring tire for many vehicles. If you hope for comfort while driving plus adaptability in terrains in 4 seasons, the Michelin CrossClimate 2 is for you. When driving on rough roads, I feel the specific stability and smoothness that the wheel part brings.
Michelin’s LTX A/T 2 was released in 2007 and it is still being sold in the market! While Yokohama’s Geolandar A/T G015 was launched in 2015 which makes it look relatively new. Geolandar A/T G015 scored a higher “would you recommend” points at 8.1/10 compared to LTX A/T 2 ‘s 7.5/10.

Well the Michelin’s CrossClimate 2 SUV is overall a pretty decent pick. In dry conditions, it offers superior linear grip and responsive steering, thanks to its streamlined tread design and lighter weight. And in wet, you get great overall traction, though it’s steering response needs slight improvements here still.
Here's our latest Michelin CrossClimate Plus review. Michelin managed to mix excellent dry handling with capable snow traction, it feels very positive behind the wheel, which makes the driving experience better. Excellent treadlife for an all-weather tire and good treadwear warranty.
On the upside, Michelin is an excellent brand and their tires are always great quality, Not a cheap tire. I bought these for my 2010 Mazda 3 Sport for winter. I still run summer tires. I really like the CrossClimate 2 tires. I live in Nova Scotia, so we have snow but lots of slush and general wetness through the winter.
On the bright side, the CrossClimate 2 is designed with Michelin’s Total Performance technology. Hence, it should perform excellently in rain and snow, even when the tread is worn down to 2/32-inch of tread depth. In contrast, many cheap all-season tires have a significant drop-off in performance as the tread wears down.
Being the undisputed technology leader, we would expect Michelin to command the highest priced tire in the market.
